Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) will make changes to club procedures during the second semester. HOSA will start meeting two times a month according to the competition event subhead and senior, Arya Musthyala.
“When the second semester starts, that’s when we really have to prepare for our events,” Musthyala said. “The people taking tests have to start studying. And if you’re working on a project, then you have to start talking to your teammates and planning.”
According to Musthyala, HOSA activity shifts to event-focused time and becomes more independent in the second half of the school year.
Club sponsor, Jennifer Drudge said, “It gets a little more intense the second semester. The first semester is trying to help everyone get their head wrapped around what HOSA is and what the state competition kind of looks like. But then in the second semester, we usually go to two meetings a month and we really ramp up getting ready for the state conference in April.” By Nora Mariano.
