Performing Arts students prepare for performances

The Performing Arts Center, consisting of the bands, choirs, orchestras, and various theatrical groups, has been continuing to prepare for its upcoming performances, according to Mary Eaton, the Performing Arts Center secretary.

Studio One Acts, a theatre production directed solely by four student directors, has chosen its cast list for the year. The students have begun rehearsing after school for their performance on Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre.

According to Eaton, the marching band will not be able to attend the Homecoming dance on Sept. 25 because they will be in Louisville for a competition. She said she does not know whether or not there will be a “Bandcoming” dance in replacement of the missed dance for the marching band members.

Eaton said that the students, as well as the instructors, have been preparing on their pieces in class for their upcoming shows. By Darlene Pham <[email protected]>
