Carmel beat Lawrence Central 35-14 in the Sectional game Oct. 28. Carmel will play Warren Central for the second time this season, Friday Nov. 4. The previous time these two teams met, Warren Central beat Carmel 22-20. According to Athletics Director Jim Inskeep, tickets will go on sale starting Oct. 29 and will be available for $6 at the activities office.
Head Coach Kevin Wright said while Warren Central may of beaten them previously, he believed they were the superior team. In the previous match up, Carmel won every statistic, other than turn overs and score. Wright emphasized that Carmel must focus on what they can control, if they wish to win.
“(Warren Central) will do what they do, we have to focus on what we can control,” Wright said. “With a team as athletic as (Warren Central) is, we must be both mentally and physically prepared in order to succeed.”
