The men’s swimming team is looking forward to the Sectional tournament today and on Saturday.  The team, which is currently ranked number one in the state according to the Indiana High School Swimming Coaches Association (IHSSCA), is going into the meet with confidence.  Head Coach Chris Plumb said, “We are looking forward to the Sectional since it is a prelude to State and is a culmination of all the hard work we’ve put in.”

Sophomore Zachary “Zac” Schleich said he agreed. “We expect to win the Sectional and get a lot of people advancing and then hopefully win state too.”

Schleich said the team has been working hard to prepare for the Sectional.  “The Sectional team is resting up for the meet and we had our Sectional dinner with a guest speaker, senior speeches, and letters from last year’s seniors,” Schleich said.

The team is looking to capture their second State championship title in a row, but first they must win the Sectional.  “We are looking forward to the end of the season,” Plumb said. “It should be an exciting finish.”
