The men’s varsity basketball team will continue its season going on road to face Pendleton Heights on Dec. 19. The team hopes to bounce back after its loss against North Central on Dec 12, 59-66.
“It’s a disappointing loss, but it’s early and we will get better,” Head Coach Scott Heady said. “We watch tape and learn from it, it’s early in the season, and we will move on.”
Wesley Middleton, basketball player and junior, said the team will come out ready to play this weekend after the lost against North Central.
“I think we are going to have a great week of practice to fix all of our mistakes from last week and we are going to come out ready to play this weekend,” Middleton said.
Going into the game against Pendleton, Heady said there are things he has noticed that need to be improved on.
“We just have to get more production offensively, and we have to cut down turnovers,” Heady said. “We had 15 turnovers in our Lawrence Central game and we had 16 turnovers Friday (against North Central).”
Middleton also agrees with Heady in that there are things the team needs to improve on.
“I think we weren’t as patient on offense as we would’ve liked,” Middleton said.
The team will play at Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m.
