Aperture Club will host its next meeting on Nov. 21 in Room C147 after school, according to Conner Gordon, Aperture Club president and senior. Gordon said he wants to continue to focus on bringing in more people to meetings. At the Nov. 21 meeting, he said he will continue to get more member input on what the members want out of the club.
He said at the last meeting they decided on their first monthly contest.
“We decided to do (the theme of) childhood memories,” Gordon said. “I’m hoping that we get a lot of interesting input from the members.” According to Gordon, members will each submit a picture of their childhood memories and they will look at the pictures and critique them.
As for the club’s long-term goals, Gordon said he hopes to get a professional photographer to come in and speak to the club. He said the photographers help the members by giving them a behind-the-scenes look of professional photography.
Aperture Club sponsor Jim Streisel said, “I try not to give too much input. It’s the students’ club and I want them to participate and feel comfortable in the group setting.”
