Chemistry Club members will meet Feb. 13 directly after school until 4:15 or 4:30 pm to go over reaction rates as they continue studying for the American Chemical Society Chemistry Exams, according to Virginia Kundrat, club sponsor.
Kundrat said that club members are now studying to cover new material that students do not learn in first year chemistry, to help set up many members for success.
“(I’m) very proud of them because they are working so hard,” Kundrat said.
The exams are split into first and second year chemistry tests. Some students at this school in past years have placed in the first year division, winning scholarships.
“It’s nice to see all their hard work pay off,” Kundrat said.
She said she hopes they will have success again this year.
