Film Club members will meet in Room E150 to watch the movie “Black Swan” on March 1. The movie will run from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. According to sponsor Robyn Huss, students wishing to attend the meeting must turn in a permission slip, because the movie is rated R. Permission slips may be picked up at Room E150 prior to March 1, as a parent’s signature is required.
“Black Swan” was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Actress in 2011. The movie features a ballet dancer, played by actress Natalie Portman, who struggles with pressure, paranoia and delusion directed towards a rival ballerina, played by actress Mila Kunis.
According to Huss, Film Club allows students to release stress while watching the movie.
“(Film Club) seems like a family,” Huss said.
Member and junior Caroline Ward said she recommends all students to join Film Club.
Ward said, “My favorite part is hanging out with friends and talking about the movies.”
