The next Astronomy Club meeting will take place in the planetarium room during SRT on March 20, according to Yanying Chen, club president and sophomore. The planetarium show for the month of March will be shown on March 23. This planetarium show will cover information about exoplanets, or planets outside the solar system.
In addition, according to club sponsor Keith Turner, guest speakers from states in the Midwest area will host lectures and presentations from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 14.
A tire from a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space shuttle is now on display near the south entrance of the media center and will stay there for the next three years, according to Turner.
