According to Conner Gordon, Aperture Club president and senior, the Aperture Club will not have any more official meetings or workshops for the rest of the year.
As for next year, Gordon said junior Sam Patterson has expressed interest to be president of the club.
On his three-year Aperture Club experience, Gordon said, “It’s just given me more insight on how much of a developmental process photography is and how important it is to get feedback (on your photos).”
He said his favorite experience this year was the lighting workshop. He said members used many good techniques, and he was pleased with how it turned out.
As for a disappointment in the club this year, he said he wished the club could have proceeded in its street photography workshop. But, he said people were busy with “end of the year stuff” and it would be difficult to organize everybody getting down to Indianapolis.
Aperture Club sponsor Jim Streisel said, “I try not to give too much input. It’s the students’ club and I want them to participate and feel comfortable in the group setting.”
