Soo Han, performing arts department co-chairperson and director for orchestras, said that the orchestra’s next concert will take place Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in auditorium. The tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for senior citizens and children.
Regarding the concert, Han said, “(The) highlights (for this concert) include the top orchestra, Symphony, (performing) Tchaikovsky’s ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ (Also, the Philharmonic Orchestra) makes its debut as the full orchestra, meaning it will have wind and percussion as well as the string (instruments.)”
Han said, “The fall concert was a success and I’m proud of the kids’ hard work.”
Yi Cui, cello player in the philharmonic orchestra and sophomore, said, “(The first concert) could have been better, but for our first concert I’m pretty pleased about it.”
He said that personally he would just keep working hard and try to get to a higher chair, as he is now tenth chair. He has played the cello for five years.
