Latin Club is scheduled to participate in the State Latin Convention in March. The convention will take place at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, and the cost per person is $100. Participants in the convention will stay overnight.
According to Latin Club sponsor Caren Rickett, students can participate in dramatic arts, creative arts, graphic arts and other academic topics. Ribbons are awarded to the top five places and certificates are awarded to the next five places.
Rickett said, “This gives students who want to participate in Latin-related competitions the chance to compete against other students from other schools. Those who want to participate can participate.”
President and senior Eleni Georgiadis said, “This is a big thing for Latin Club, so people should come. It’s going to fun and it’s a great way to test your Latin.”
