According to Young Life leader John Balmat, the date for ‘Clubble’ has been changed to this upcoming Tuesday, April 16. Balmat said that they are bringing the event back by popular demand, and anticipate an even larger crowd. However, despite the schedule change, all activities will be along the same lines as the original ‘Clubble.’ According to Shana Porter, Young Life member and senior, this consisted of the average Young Life meeting with an energetic twist.
“It was basically a rave with neon lights and glow sticks,” Porter said. “Raving was just added on to the beginning and end. We had someone give a talk in the middle and we still had announcements and everything.”
Although the premise of ‘Clubble’ will remain the same, the location, previously Main Cafeteria, is changed to 626 Hampshire Court. Balmat said the change should enhance the ‘Clubble’ experience.
“The big difference between this one and the last one will be the location,” Balmat said. “This time around it will be at Elliot and George Shebek’s house. Having it at someone’s house and outside will, I think, make it that much more awesome.”
For Young Life members that are unable to attend on April 16, regular Club and Campaigner meetings will take place at their scheduled times. Young Life Club will continue to meet every Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. at the American Legion building downtown, while Campaigners will meet every Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at 525 Bolderwood Dr. Official Young Life meeting schedules can be found on the Young Life website.
