Freshman cafeteria has introduced new snacks to accompany CHS’s new healthier lunch menu. Freshman cafeteria manager Karen Patterson said these new snacks are delicious and she enjoys the changes in the cafeteria.
“It’s exciting to change because I think you need new things,” Patterson said.
Examples of the new snack offered in the cafeteria include Salvéo “In Good Health” snack bags. These snack bags are filled with baked goods, such as cheese balls and “Thai Chili” flavored chips. The snacks are a healthier option to normal potato chips, and Patterson said she hopes that students begin to buy them.
“I’m not so sure about the chips,” said freshman Alena Breinholt. Breinholt said that even though she is unsure about the chips, she does enjoy the cookies and some of the other snacks provided at the freshman cafeteria.
The cafeteria will continue to order and sell these new snacks, and Patterson said she, along with the rest of the cafeteria workers, eagerly await for more responses from the students.
