Homecoming Happiness: One- Minute Chocolate Cake
Hi! We are so happy to write for this blog! As it is the beginning of the school year, we wanted to make something that you can make and eat quickly. We then got the idea from Chocolate Covered Kate to make the One-Minute Chocolate Cake. This is a very easy recipe to make, for the cake bakes in the microwave. So after school, you can make this quick snack! Since, Homecoming is coming up, we’ve decided to decorate our cake in the CHS colors.
Total cooking time: 1 min
Serving size: 1
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp and 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp flour
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp and 2 tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 3 ½ tsp oil
- 3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- clarified butter
Directions:
1. Combine the cocoa powder, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in a medium bowl. Mix very well.
2. Add the oil, milk and vanilla extract. Mix until it’s smooth.
3. Spread clarified butter to the inside of a ramekin or a coffee mug.
4. Pour the mixture into the ramekin or coffee mug, and put it in the microwave for 40 seconds.
5. Take the ramekin or the coffee mug out of the microwave, and let it cool for about 30 secs.
6. If you want, you can eat the cake from the bowl. You can also flip the ramekin or coffee mug over and place the cake onto a plate. We chose to keep it in the bowl.
7. Time to decorate! To make it simple, just put icing on the top of the cake, and you’re done! Since we are doing a Homecoming theme, we chose to make ours a little more fancy.
