The men’s golf team started their season by winning their first 9-hole match and coming in second in their first 18-hole match. Junior Andrew Havill said that they hope to improve and move on. They return Havill along with senior Brady Sharkey and sophomore Jon Hicks according to Head Coach Chad Carr.
Havill said, “We should be a lot better this year. We really haven’t lost anybody.”
The team faces Cathedral on Tuesday, April 17 at Prairie View Golf Course.
“We have a lot of expectations and wish to play well in (the sectional) and have a good shot at State,” said Havill.
Carr said that the team has adapted well so far. “I’m thrilled about our progress and commitment the team has made,” Carr said.
