Environmental Club plans to meet on Oct. 17 in Room B222 to discuss projects for the rest of the year. According to Elizabeth Baach, president and junior, club members are actively searching for activities to participate in to improve the environment.
“This year we are really going to go all out in searching for people and trying to get more support from other environmental organizations in Carmel,” club sponsor Fran Rushng said.
The club is also going to visit elementary school to spread information about a healthy environment. Members will try to engage elementary school students in educational and entertaining activities. “We did the same thing last year and it was actually pretty successful. Its nice to think that we can make a difference in the mindset of younger generations,” Baach said.
Along with this project the club wants to keep brainstorming about other changes they could implement in the community to better the environment. “We are open to all new ideas and really do encourage all club members to put in their input,” Rushing said.
