Interact Club officers are struggling to organize the club. With a slow start to the year, it is very likely for the club to end. No next meeting is scheduled.
“The problem is that my officers have various responsibilities, so we tried to have it (meetings) after school on Thursdays, but that did not work,” sponsor Debbie Lesjak said. “If the officers don’t come to the meetings, it makes it so that it’s hard to attract new members.”
Not having enough new members is also causing a problem for the club.
Along with officers being busy, there are also problems with communication to the members. “There’s setback with all our plans due to wrong scheduling and no communication,” club president and sophomore Gaby Khachatryan said.
Although plans for Interact Club seem to be going downhill, Khachatryan still hopes to prevent a complete end to the club. “The club has been off to a rocky start, but I really hope everything will fall into place soon,” she said. “I plan to keep it going as long as I can.”
