Holiday Spectacular begins Dec. 3 and the choir is ready to go. According to Director John Burlace, the choir has cleaned up all aspects of the performance and only rehearsals remain in order to fine-tune every last note.
According to the Carmel High School Performing Arts Calendar, performances will take place on Dec. 3 at 7:00 p.m., Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m., Dec. 6 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 2:00 p.m.
Kaley Dickerson, ensemble member and junior, said, “We have gone through three rehearsals and we just run through the show and work out all the issues with our songs and dances.”
For Burlace it is his first Holiday Spectacular. “The name is Holiday Spectacular, its got to be a spectacle, larger than life in many ways, but we just hope (the audience) will leave with a sense of joy, a sense of the season beginning for them and we get to make them smile and bring back some memories,” he said.
Dickerson has been a part of Holiday Spectacular before, but she is still filled with excitement. “I love having my friends and family come watch me. It’s really fun to see them afterwards and get the positive feed back and know that the hard work has paid off.”
