According to James Ziegler, sponsor of Do Something Club, the club will be hosting a “playdate” at the Dayspring Center, a homeless shelter in downtown Indianapolis sometime in late March. The club will be playing games and making arts and crafts with the children there.
“That’s one of our big projects coming up,” Ziegler said. “And we really hope the kids will enjoy it.”
The club also plans to go to a local nursing home to play bingo with the residents.
In addition, the club collected over 250 pairs of jeans in its recent Teens for Jeans project, and sent them to Aeropostale to be distributed to local community homeless shelters.
“I am very excited for these upcoming events,” Luisa Perez, vice president of Do Something Club and senior, said, “And I hope they will sharpen my leadership skills.”
