The spring choir concert will be on March 18. According to head director, John Burlace, the choir hopes to appear as a better choir than they were in the fall.
Brett Slosarek, ensemble member and sophomore, said, “We are working on showmanship and presenting to the audience. We want to make the audience feel like they are getting a good show and having a good time.”
“Right now we are focusing on still some skill building, some sight reading,” Burlace said, “And just a lot of performance skills, a lot of clean choreography, and a lot of the basic building blocks we had given them in the fall that we are refining now.”
Burlace said the choir has gotten better and has worked a lot harder since the fall and, according to Slosarek, the directors have put an emphasis on making the choreography look more natural and looking as though they are having just as much fun as the audience.
