Members of the Model U.N. plan to meet Oct. 1, according to sponsor Sandy Gardner. The club will be discussing the upcoming Vanderbilt conference, which is scheduled to take place Nov. 6-8.
Co-president and senior Mariam Bari said the group will participate in three conferences this year, one at IUPUI, another at Vanderbilt and the final one at IU. The group plans to take a limited number of students to the Vanderbilt conference, all of them veteran members of the group.
According to Bari, the first year members wil
l have the chance to participate in the IUPUI conference.
“I’m most excited about all the new recruits this year. We’ve let freshman in and have a lot of new members so it’ll be interesting to see how they do at the IUPUI conference,” Bari said.
“Personally I just want to excel in the conferences and have fun. I hope the group has fun and wins the awards they hope to win,” Bari said.
