Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC) is on its way to prepare for upcoming events during winter after hosting club booths at the Pumpkin Fest on Oct. 24.
Just a week ago, CMYC hosted the Pumpkin Fest. According to Neil Shah, CMYC president and senior, “It went pretty well. We had some weather issues, so we had to move the event inside by the fire station, but we adapted really well and we got a good turnout.”
Ryan Woock, CMYC president and junior, said, “Although there were weather issues it still turned out well. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun helping set up club booths at the event.”
In addition, CMYC members have different ideas for upcoming winter events. “We are working on planning an event for the winter whether it would be volunteering somewhere or working with Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation. But, we are thinking of some potential ideas. Nothing is finalized for the end of this semester, but we have already got stuff set for next semester.” Shah said.
