Melody Gao

Why do you think you would be a good fit for the job?
I think I’ve got great leadership, and I’ve had some previous positions. I also thought about running for president, but I’m new here, and I thought I could get to know the school better first.

Do you have any previous leadership experience?
I was the 4H Club president at Zionsville, and I was an ambassador for two years at middle school. I helped new students out, and I organized events.

What are your plans if you get elected into the position?
For Homecoming, I’ve got a lot of creative ideas.

Do you think you have any weaknesses you need to work on?
Well, I’m new to the school so I don’t know a lot of people yet.

What are your strengths that you think will help you?
I’m good at getting people involved and on the team. I’ve got some good input and ideas for events.

Sam Patterson

Why do you think you would be a good fit for the job?
I chose to run for vice president because of the impact I could make. It’s more of a supporting role.

Do you have any previous leadership experience?
I volunteer a lot at my temple,and I’d like to have the opportunity to try out in a leadership position.

What are your plans if you get elected into the position?
I know that the vice president helps out with things like class rings and Homecoming. I have some fun fundraiser ideas too.

Do you think you have any weaknesses you need to work on?
I think the hardest part for me will be getting into the position, but I want to get involved.

What are your strengths that you think will help you?
I’m academically smart, so I think that’ll help me in the position.

Erika Stith

Why do you think you would be a good fit for the job?
I think I’m different from the other candidates. I’m rational, and I’ve got good ideas that people will like.

Do you have any previous leadership experience?
I haven’t had many chances to get really involved because I’ve had to move around a lot.

What are your plans if you get elected into the position?
I can help organize events and dances. I can try to convince others to go with ideas that are the most fun and beneficial for the class. I’ll try to get different ideas out.

Do you think you have any weaknesses you need to work on?
I guess I could learn how to speak in front of people better.

What are your strengths that you think will help you?
I’m good with numbers, and I’m in a lot of honors classes. So, I think that would help me out.

Morgan Ward

Why do you think you would be a good fit for the job?
I love to be involved. I work hard, and I think I can help make things fun and educational,

Do you have any previous leadership experience?
I’ve been in some plays and musicals, but I haven’t had much experience yet. But I can always learn.

What are your plans if you get elected into the position?
I have some ideas that we could use to raise money, like crazy sock days and stuff. I think I have some good ideas for the clubhouse too.

Do you think you have any weaknesses you need to work on?
I guess I have to work on being louder, because sometimes, I can be kind of quiet.

What are your strengths that you think will help you?
I’m a good leader, and I like getting involved. I’m getting to know this school pretty well too, so I can help people out.

Haley Weiss

Why do you think you would be a good fit for the job?
I like I’d be good for the job because I’ve taken leadership roles before. I know what students want, and people listen to me.

Do you have any previous leadership experience?
In middle school, I was in National Junior Honors Society, after school activities and religious stuff.

What are your plans if you get elected into the position?
I’ll help whatever I can and make improvements, just place my mark at school.

Do you think you have any weaknesses you need to work on?
I think I just need to learn how to campaign.

What are your strengths that you think will help you?
I’m outgoing and approachable. I’m not afraid to talk to adults or make confrontations.
