Members of the Economics Club will take a macro test at their next meeting, which will be returned to club sponsor Michelle Foutz the following week, according to Foutz. Their activities are centered around preparing for their competition in April.
Terry Ming, one-year-member and junior, said via-email, “Each of us takes different topics pertaining to economics and looks up current events on those topics. My topics are housing and federal taxes.”
For the next meeting, members also will summarize the articles they have researched and share the articles with the rest of the club, according to Foutz, .
According to Ming, most meetings for now are centered on sharing these articles, but soon club members will begin actual practice for the competition.
“I’m going to continue to be a member until I graduate,” Ming said. “Econ club is something that interests me, so I have no reason to quit.”
