According to Ling Ding, UNICEF Club vice president and senior, the club is scheduled to go to the International Fair, which is scheduled to take place at the Indiana state fairgrounds from Nov. 17 to 20. At the International Fair, members will fundraise for UNICEF Club.
“We’re going to be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Basically we are going to set up a booth at the International Fair, and to fundraise we will sell baked goods, face paint and other things like that to get the most money for UNICEF Club,” Ding said.
Sponsor Jill Noel said that the next meeting would be on Nov. 15, and the officers will discuss possible plans for International fair at the meeting.
“We are also going to prepare for International Fair at the next meeting by making posters and signing up for who is going to go to the actual event,” Ding said. “We have 10 free tickets for the event that are available for club members to take.”
For those who want to get involved in helping UNICEF Club, Ding suggested they should volunteer at International fair.
Ding said, “People who want to help us can go to the event and volunteer for us. Although those who want to help need to buy tickets, you can get volunteer hours from the event.”
