On Feb. 2, Film Club will meet in Room E150 to watch “Milk.” The movie will run from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m., according to sponsor Robyn Huss. Students wishing to attend must turn in a permission slip because the movie is rated R.
“Students can stop by in advance for a permission slip, so that when they show up, I won’t have to say ‘Go away!’” Huss said.
“Milk” received eight Academy Award nominations and won for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Original Screenplay in 2008. The fact-based movie focuses around the murder of Harvey Milk, an openly gay activist and politician.
Member and junior Alexis Albrecht has attended meetings since the club was started.
“[Film Club] is really fun actually, no one really judges other people on what they like,” Albrecht said.
