According to Jerry Brickley, Creative Writing Club sponsor, the club plans to continue meeting throughout May in Room E148.
“We had decided to extend the Creative Writing Club and continue on a little more through May and do some wrap ups,” Kinza Abbas, vice president and sophomore said.
Club members are focusing on some housekeeping so they will be ready for next year’s club as soon as they get back.
“We are going to try and leave everyone on a note where they can all feel comfortable writing over the summer without a support group,” Abbas said.
In the next few weeks club members will host a club award ceremony. They will give out awards based on a writing competition with four different genres. Each member judges each other and decides who gets the awards. Club members also hope to get a visit from a local author.
The members have gotten further into their pass around story. “I feel like we are just about to understand what the main plot is in the next couple of chapters,” Abbas said.
