The Comedy Sportz team members will participate in their final event, the League Finals, on May 19.
According to club sponsor Jim Peterson, the four teams with the highest scores are competing for a chance to play against the adults in the real Comedy Sportz league. The scores were based on basic scene work, energy, fan experience, teamwork, commitment and professionalism. The four teams that will compete are from Bishop Chatard, Carmel, Cathedral, and Guerin high schools.
As the Comedy Sportz season comes to an end, Peterson said that his favorite part about the year was the teamwork.
Peterson said, “The kids worked well together and were a lot of fun. I was impressed by their maturity and creativity.”
Bill Pfohl, team member and sophomore, said that his favorite part about the year was being with his teammates. He said he can’t wait for next year.
Pfohl said, “I can’t wait for the thrill of the matches and to be even funnier.”
Peterson said that he is excited to have three members returning next year, and he can’t wait for auditions.
