The first Young Life meeting of the 2012-13 school year will be a paint war on Sept. 25 that takes place at Inslow Park at 7:32 p.m. According to head sponsor Jenna Perkins, the paint war, like Young Life Club, is open to all CHS students.
“There are no fees or requirements to join Young Life,” Perkins said. “It’s for everyone and you can come and go as you please.”
Young Life member and senior Shana Porter says she will be attending the paint war. According to Porter, the paint war is a great way to start off the club because it is fun and allows new members to feel involved right away.
“The paint war is probably one of my favorite events of the whole year,” Porter said. “It’s kind of a silly thing, but it makes everyone feel super comfortable with each other right from the start.”
