TechHOUNDS will have its next pre-season meeting Thursday, Nov. 15. Team sponsor George Giltner and Akash Shankar, team leader and senior, are teaching TechHOUND members how to use and equipment and how to build robots. “A lot of new members need to be trained on how to use tools,” Giltner said. As practice, the team is building a T-shirt cannon robot. They started building the frame for the robot last meeting.
On Nov.16, TechHOUND members will be getting together for a “late nighter.” They will be getting to know each other and plan to play dodge ball. The team will kick off their season in January when they find out what the building requirements are for competitions. Their first competition will take place on March 14 at Purdue. TechHOUNDS is preparing for the upcoming season through practice.
