The CHS debate team is going to have its last planned debate competition on Dec. 8 at LaPorte. With a strong start in their previous debate at Brebeuf, according to sophomore Jiahao Zhou, there are many chances for the debate team to get recognized.
“I think we have a fair chance of getting some recognition,” Zhou said.
The Debate Team is hoping to have more success “especially with students who went toBrebeuf,” Nicole Palmer, art teacher and club sponsor, said.
The team’s practices are very organized to work on its success.
“(Practices) are pretty productive, there are a lot of incentive ideas going aroundand we bond together as a group,” Zhou said. ” They are very helpful and help the team get closer together.”
