Share The Music Club is scheduled to meet Jan. 29 during SRT. According to Sunhee Han, club president and senior, club members will discuss an upcoming performance at Summer Trace nursing home on Feb. 2 after school. Club members will provide a free concert for the elderly, according to Han.
“The purpose of the club is to share music with people in the community,” Han said. “So we will be playing for seniors in these nursing homes.“
According to faculty sponsor James Woomert, Share The Music Club members perform at local nursing homes on a regular basis. Members sign up for specific time slots on the club’s website and perform with their friends.
“They just show up and play whatever they want,” said Woomert. “It’s not really an instructional kind of thing, it’s a gathering of people who play instruments.”
