ASL Club plans to meet on Feb. 21 to discuss their upcoming trip to Dave and Busters on March 5. Katie Connery, ASL Club President and senior, said they will also decide on possibilities for future events at the next meeting.
She said she hopes the club will become closer through this experience.
“Our main goal is to become an ASL Family,” Connery said.
Club Sponsor Joseph Wheeler said he thinks of this as an opportunity to practice ASL and improve.
“If (the students) want to learn the language, they need to practice a lot and be a part of the culture. They need to participate in events and know that if they practice without a voice, they will improve more,” Wheeler said.
Connery said the club has no other upcoming events at the moment, but are working on planning more for the future.
