Members of the Muslim Student Association will next meet on March 7 in Room A232. Members plan to further discuss their upcoming henna tattoo fundraiser for the Julian Center.
Fariha Hossain, club president and senior, said, “We will be selling henna tattoos for $2 to $5 in the main cafeteria for a week in April. Members plan to donate the proceeds to the Julian Center. We’re not sure about the specifics yet but hope to plan the event in upcoming meetings.”
Hossain also said that members would soon be choosing new club leaders for the next school year.
“We currently have seven members on board. Anyone who wants a leadership position can ask for a larger role in the club,” Hossain said.
Members of the club continue meeting on Thursdays after school in Room A232, club sponsor Carolyn Mohr’s room. Mohr said, “The students take this club seriously and are ready to voice their opinion.”
