With all matches done and Senior Night over, the Comedy Sportz team will be playing one last time on May 25. Teams from high schools in the area will come to play in a massive tournament. They will have two teams play each other in elimination rounds and the lone surviving team will play against an adult team from downtown.
According to sponsor Jim Peterson, the CHS Comedy Sportz team won the tournament last year. However, the rules were a little different, with only four teams competing. This year, there will be a total of ten teams competing. The tournament will end this year’s season.
“The team is already starting to plan for next year,” Peterson said. “We will have auditions and pick four to six new members for the team, with all current members staying. Next year, we’ll have two teams with two home games each month during the spring.”
Bill Pfohl, Comedy Sportz member and junior, said that he was excited for the big tournament coming up.
“It’ll be more fun next year. I’ll be looking forward to it,” he said.
