Rising Stars Club to go to Halloween hayride on Oct. 10, continue the annual tradition with bonfire, fun activities

Rising Stars members discuss current club events and candy fundraising sales during the first few minutes of the meeting. Behind them, club officers prepare to begin the meeting as they quiet down the group.

Rising Stars club will host the upcoming annual Halloween hayride onThursday, Oct. 10 at Stony Creek Farm. Permission slips are available in Room P123 and those who wish to go should hand them in before the day of the hayride.

According to Rising Stars sponsor Jim Peterson, there will be a cookout where members can roast hotdogs and marshmallows.

According to Junior Class representative Amanda Warnock there is still time to sign-up even if a student is not a part of the club.

“All you have to do is turn in the code of conduct sheet and your club dues,” Warnock said. “I’m really excited for this event. I think it’ll give the all of us a chance to know each other a little better.”

The next meeting for Rising Stars will be on Thursday, Nov. 7.
