Cabinet member and senior Trevor Sarsfield said that the event is beneficial in raising money for Riley Children’s Hospital.
According to Sarsfield, the fourth annual “Smoothie Smashdown” will be on Dec. 14 in the freshman cafeteria.
“Some people makes smoothies at the event and enter them into the contest for around 300 people,” Sarsfield said. “Others come to taste test and vote on best smoothie, best ingredients, most creative and stuff like that. There’s also a gingerbread house building contest. The money made from Smoothie Smashdown also goes to Riley and it definitely makes a huge difference.
Wolff said that a lot of planning has gone into these two events.
“It’s for charity, for a good cause, and that’s what we’re about,” Wolff said. “Helping other people and having a good time.”
