Ping Pong Club will host its next meeting on March 13 at the bottom of the stairs next to the Freshman Cafeteria. New members can join at any prospective meeting in the 2013-2014 school year by paying the $5 club fee.
Junior and member Valeria Menendez, said she is excited for the upcoming meeting.
“It’s really chill and everyone has a good time seeing friends,” she said. “It’s a good afterschool activity to join.”
Leslie McCarty, co-sponsor and French teacher, has seen students like Menendez have a great time joining Ping Pong Club. In her opinion, students should join based on the club’s benefits.
“Members get to meet new people and relax by just playing the game. It’s a good atmosphere for any student to join,” she said.
Menendez joined with her friends at the beginning of the year but she said students can join the club and expect to make new friends.
“We all just play ping pong and talk and meet other people and have a good time,” she said.
To check upcoming schedules, club officials recommend members to view the club’s Facebook page or sign up for its texting service. These resources will provide information on upcoming events and opportunities to socialize with other members.
