The women’s soccer team will travel to Dublin , OH on Sept. 24 to play against nationally ranked Dublin Coffman.
“We travel to Ohio to play Dublin because they are a nationally ranked team,” assistant coach Julie Faas said via e-mail. “They are always a tough game for us going into sectionals. (Playing them) helps us prepare for the tournament.”
Sophomore Amy Malone plays on the soccer team and said the team has maintained its high expectations for itself. “Our goal is still to complete an undefeated season and win State,” Malone said.
Both Faas and Malone said the season is progressing well. “We still have areas of the game to work on before the tournament starts,” Faas said. “We hope to be at the top of our game in 2 weeks.”
Faas said the game will be played at a quicker pace because it is being played on turf. “We are expecting a very quick and tough game on the turf,” Faas said. “It could be our toughest game of the season.”
