Mock Trial’s first competition is Jan. 14. The trial will be conducted at the Hamilton County Judiciary Center in Noblesville and begins at 6 p.m. Team member and sophomore Andrew Ardizone said, “Our first trial is Wednesday (Jan. 14), and we are all prepared for anything.”
According to Ardizone, the team practices two to three times a week, especially to prepare for the trials. “We practice anywhere from an hour or two hours,” said Ardizone.
Ardizone think the team’s professionalism will help them win the case. “Our two plaintiff attorneys are extremely well-practiced and our defense attorneys are just as prepared.” He also said the help they have received from two professional attorneys that help coach has improved members’ arguments.
According to club sponsor Holly Hochstedler, the next trial will be Jan. 21. The team will continue to have competitions every Wednesday until they reach a play-in round on Feb. 18.
