The final meeting for the Teen Library Council (TLC) in the Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) will take place May 6 at 7 p.m. in the program room of the CCPL. Officers are required to come in a half hour before the meeting starts to help prepare for it.
Jamie Beckman, young adult librarian at the CCPL, said the TLC still has distinct goals for its last meeting.
“The teen library (council)’s goals for the last meeting are to plan their summer activities so they can interview new potential members,” Beckman said.
According to Matthew Deaton, senior and patron of the library, he would like the TLC to incentive students to attend the library.
“I would like the council to address adding a better reading incentive for high school students,” Deaton said.
