When Twilight Club meets on Wednesday, Nov. 18, they will be planning an outing to see the upcoming “New Moon” movie, and the pre-finals holiday party, which will replace the cancelled fall party.
The fall party was cancelled after fewer people attended than expected (in part due to illness and people leaving early for fall break) and also because the club’s sponsor, Wendy Gerardot, had to leave early. “It was planned but kinda fell through,” Callahan said.
Gerardot said that she is a hands off sponsor. “I kinda let them run it,” she said. She said she enjoys Twilight and is there to help the club members. “If they need my help on something I help them out, but mainly I give them a space to have their meetings and kinda enjoy their time together,” Gerardot said.
Callahan said that she knows that Twilight Club isn’t the largest club in school “We haven’t been getting the word out well.” But being small has its advantages. “Having a smaller group is easier, because it’s easier to talk to people, where as with if you have a larger group, things get out of control,” Callahan said.
The club is planning to order sweatpants and T-shirts but need people to submit designs before they do so. The club meets every Gold Wednesday, in Room A317. It doesn’t matter if students attend regularly. “People can come and go as they please,” Callahan said. By Maxime Berclaz <[email protected]>
