The Math Club members received their scores for the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) and will review the answers.
Joseph Broman, sponsor and math teacher, said, “We will be going over the AMC’s, which the students took last week, so they can see what they missed on the test and what score they got.”
Those with the highest score may qualify for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), which is the next competition following the AMC.
Co-president and senior Joey Heerens said, “The top 2.5 percent of scorers on the AMC will have the chance to qualify for the next round. Normally, not many people qualify because of how high you have to score on the test.”
The last round of the Mandelbrot happened today.
