The Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation (CCPR) is planning Snacks with Santa, which will occur on Dec. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. According to Lindsay Labas, marketing manager for the CCPR, this new event offers a variety of activities for participants.
“(Snacks with Santa is) a new event this year that combines a few of the special events we’ve done in the past. These include Letters to Santa, Snacks with Santa, Arts and Crafts and a Family Candy Cane Hunt,” Labas said.
According to Labas, all these events that took place in prior years had a tremendous turnout. She said with each activity, a couple of hundred participants came out. This year, she said she predicts students to enjoy Snacks with Santa after the Family Candy Cane Hunt, which takes place at 5:45 p.m that day.
Holiday events and activities including Snacks with Santa need volunteers. According to Labas, students who wish to get involved should contact Sarah Carling at <[email protected]>.
Labas said, “The best part about volunteering at a larger scale event like this is the opportunity to work with staff and individuals within the community while enjoying the holiday spirit.” By Audrey Bailey <[email protected]>
