Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation (CCPR) is planning Family Pizza and Bingo on Jan. 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This event is $35 per family and takes place at the Monon Community Center (MCC). According to Lindsay Labas, marketing manger for CCPR, this event, along with several others, is in need for volunteers.
“We are constantly looking for volunteers to expand our volunteer program,” Labas said.
Along with family Bingo, Winter Kids Koncerts on Jan. 26 and Prince Charming’s Ball on Feb. 4 are upcoming events in need of volunteers. According to Labas, students can become involved by emailing [email protected].
With the opportunity to volunteer, Labas encourages students to become involved. In doing so, she said there are many life lessons to learn.
“By volunteering and giving a small amount of your time, you can make a difference in the Carmel community. You will learn many life lessons while volunteering with us including the value of leadership and being a role model, the value of making decisions, the importance of a strong family environment, all while establishing relationships and helping us meet our goals,” Labas said.
