At the next Jewish student union (JSU) meeting, the club plans to begin preparations for the upcoming holiday of Passover. This year Passover begins on April 18. According to co-president and sophomore Frankie Salzman, the club will sell Matza during all lunches.
“We sold them last year with Nutella. They were pretty good,” he said. Matza is an unleavened cracker that is commonly consumed during Passover. “The holiday basically commemorates the exodus from Egypt,” Salzman sai
d.
Previously, the JSU sold the crackers in the main cafeteria, and Salzman said he expects the club to do so again this year. Further details will be discussed at the upcoming club meeting. The JSU meets on the first blue Tuesday of the month.
