On March 29, parents and students are welcome to attend a college financial aid workshop at the Carmel Clay Public Library (CPPL). It will teach parents about saving up for college using several resources.
“We’ve had this event every year for the most part,” librarian Hope Baugh said. “Parents have attended past past workshops and have told me they found them to be very helpful.”
The workshop will go through four main components when determining how to save for college, including college selection, financial aid,
tax aid, and personal resources.
“My parents would be interested in this mainly because they are always stressing about how to pay for my college,” senior Natasja Massa said. “Since it’s my senior year, they’re putting a lot of stress on me for scholarships.”
Registration for this event is required at www.IndyCollegeFunding.org, and the event will be held in the program room. By Lauren Mugavin <[email protected]>
