The next Scrabble Club meeting is scheduled for Aug. 31. Erica Butz and Katie Cheesman, co-presidents of Scrabble Club and seniors, have been preparing activities for the year and encourage students to join.
According to Cheesman and Butz, they are planning on designing locker signs and T-shirts. They are also considering holding pizza parties. Dates will be determined soon.
“This is the second year of Scrabble club. We want to make it big,” said Butz. “It is a fun way for people to meet each other. You don’t have to be good at Scrabble. We welcome all members with open arms and bountiful Scrabble tiles.”
Club sponsor Courtney Trachtman hopes students can relax and have fun in Scrabble Club.
“The club meets every blue Wednesday. It is casual; no big commitment is involved. It is free and educational. People will enjoy their time in the club.”
