The maintenance department is getting ready for the upcoming basketball and swimming seasons, which start mid-November.
“We make sure all the scoring, sound systems and lighting is all working,” said Mike Wyatt, maintenance foreman.
The maintenance department will also make sure that the bleacher boards are not loose.
According to Wyatt, the main job of the maintenance department is to make sure the janitorial equipment is working and to make any repairs on the school. The department also maintains the heating and cooling systems as well as plumbing.
Freshman Joshua Segaran said he realizes the importance of the maintenance department, and is thankful for the hard work of its staff.
“I think (the maintenance department) does a great job in maintaining the school,” Segaran said.
